Today we decided to do an anti-clockwise circle up to Blinman via Glass Gorge Road so we travelled north past Wilpena Pound again

and up as far as Parachilna, turned right and about 5k in we saw another abandoned settlers dwelling and Mt. Falkland

continued on past an amazing wide river bed which I didn't get a photo of, then turned left into Glass Gorge road. This started off as quite a narrow and windy road and the terrain quickly became quite dry, many shale rocks and reddish earth, small dry creek beds. As we continued on this 30k track, the countryside opened up and the vegetation continually changed. At one point you would have sworn it resembled Queenstown with bare red hills, next it would be green, next it would be rocky.

The last third of this road opened right up into gently rolling hills, quite flatter than what we had experienced, then we entered Blinman. A small town of few buildings. We had lunch at a cafe (Pete had a very BIG meat pie, I had toasted ham cheese and tomato sandwich), pretty YUM and I bought a copy of a Peter Dobre Flinders Ranges book so we could see what we missed lol.
We pressed on towards Hawker, stopped by a dear old deserted home just outside of Blinman to take photos

and stopped many times on the way at various lookouts.
