Our first whole day at Flinders Ranges .. where shall we go?
Left Hawker and turned left at a dirt road, our destination being five ways where we read the overflowing creeks in flood had carved out cliffs over time. A nicely kept dirt road, we went offroad for a small trip and photoed some real Aussie bush.

Continued on to flat country, saw some emus and a real find - a lovely old wooden dray.

Saw some evidence of creek erosion but it wasn't until we had reached five ways (a junction) turned right and almost back onto the highway that we saw where water had carved a cliff over time.

Continuing along the highway, we decided to take Moralana Scenic Drive, 30k of beauty, creek beds, mountain views, wildflowers, rolling hills dotted with eucalypts, creeks and something pine.

On reaching the main road we took the road to Pugilist Hill Lookout which did have amazing views and lovely coloured hills.

Then we returned to our cabin, and dinner at the pub.
